Once you’ve created a strong Hewlett Packard Enterprise Advising profile that describes your experience and how you can help others, then it’s time to connect with an entrepreneur.
Use the entrepreneur people search to find relevant opportunities. At any given time, there are thousands of entrepreneurs from around the world looking for help. For best results, first browse through the search results without applying filters to get a sense for who is in the community. Then, apply the one filter that is most important to you, and check the results again. Applying too many search filters at once may overly constrict opportunities.
Once you’ve found an entrepreneur who interests you, use the Start a Conversation button to send that person a brief, personalized message.
All entrepreneurs in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Advising platform will appear in your search results. Hewlett Packard Enterprise Advisors are invited to connect with any of the hundreds of entrepreneurs in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Advising community. If you are interested in working with an entrepreneur who has been pre-screened by HPE, we recommend selecting an entrepreneur who is a member of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Advising group. Group members will be prioritized at the top of your search results and will appear with the HPE Advising member label above their name. Please note - outside of the HPE Advising group the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Advising platform refers to these as advisors and mentees.
While you’re searching for entrepreneurs to help, they’re also searching for advisors. If an entrepreneur connects with you first, you’ll receive an email notification. Take the time to respond to messages, whether you are interested in working with them, don’t think it’s a good fit, or have some clarifying questions. If at any point you become unavailable for advising, you can change your advising availability in your contact settings.Next: Assess the entrepreneur's project
